Feedback from pitch

Once we presented our pitch to the class, each group and our teacher gave us some feedback on how we could have improved, i felt this information was constructive as we can learn from it.
The information about our pitch which we recieved was as follows; firstly it was said that our pitch was easy to understand and the whole idea of our documentary was clear, on top of that it was presented well, which myself and Conor were pleased to hear.
The second piece of feedback was also positive on our behalf, and this was that the concept of our documentary was interesting and especially the idea that the whereabouts of the missing person is unknown which leads to much speculation and talking points, this was said to draw their attention even more.
The first of the negative information came next and we found out from our class that our intended audience was too broad, as we didnt have a specific age range. Therefore we spoke and decided that our intended audience will now be late teens ranging from sixteen to nineteen as we feel this age range will relate to the missing person and also adults ranging from around twenty to sixty as these can all be parents who may be interested in the adults perspective of their missing son.

More interesting news was next as we found out that one of our personal favourite shots in the documentary was also one of the class' favourite shots, which was the CCTV type shots. These were said to be creative and if 'pulled off' they will fit in well and improve the documentary by giving it a more realistic and creative feel.
The class also agreed with myself and Conor's thoughts on our establishing shots which we were struggling with a bit to try and make more interesting, as the class agreed they said they could be a bit more creative and 'arty'. By gathering this information myself and Conor will sit down and discuss how we could improve these shots, so they seem less boring.
The last bit of feedback we recieved was yet again positive which was the police phone-in would be very interesting and how it would sound once completed, we know it may be hard to make this sound realistic, however we are positve we can pull it off.
To conclude i feel that, overall our pitch was good yet we still have to pick up on the negative comments and try and improve these to improve our documentary as a whole.
